President and Chairman
In addition to his roles as president and chairman of Greenleaf Companies (inclusive of Greenleaf Trust; Greenleaf Hospitality, Inc.; and Catalyst Development Company, L.L.C.), Bill is also chairman of the board/director of SofTech, Inc.; director of Special-Lite Corporation; trustee, Western Michigan University; chairman of Southwest Michigan First Economic Development Corporation and Director of HUMANeX. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Michigan University.
Ronald N. Kilgore
Chief Executive Officer and Senior Trust Officer
In addition to his executive management functions, Ron provides client service for individuals and foundations. During his more than 35 years in the trust business, Ron has been involved in virtually every aspect of client service and trust management, including starting and successfully growing new trust organizations. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and the American Bankers Association National Trust School.
Jennifer C. Billings
Executive Vice President and Director of Operations
Jennifer oversees the daily operations of trust accounting, securities processing, and performance reporting systems, and is responsible for tax reporting. She has 35 years of extensive experience in all aspects of trust operations and is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
Lisa A. Thomas, JD
Executive Director Stryker Johnston Foundation
Lisa manages the grant making functions of the foundations as well as logistical and financial matters of all non-Greenleaf Company holdings.
Darla J. Barbarini
Executive Assistant to the Chairman and President of Greenleaf Companies
Darla manages all aspects of the President’s office that relate to Greenleaf Trust, Greenleaf Hospitality, Inc., Catalyst Development Company L.L.C. and Greenleaf Capital, Inc. Additionally, Darla supports the President in all matters relative to community affairs. Darla earned her business degree from the Erie Business Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Adrienne M. Ayers
Administrative Assistant in the Office of the President
Adrienne is responsible for providing direct administrative and organizational support to the Executive Assistant to the Chairman and President of the Greenleaf Companies. She assists with a wide variety of activities and projects. Adrienne is currently pursuing a BA degree from Western Michigan University.

Rebecca N. Green, CPA
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
and Director of Human Resources
Responsible for managing the company’s accounting, financial reporting and human resource functions, Rebecca’s experience includes 7 years in public accounting and 6 years in financial and business operations management. A member of the American Institute of CPAs and Michigan Association of CPAs, she is a University of Michigan graduate of distinction, BBA.

N. Dean MacVicar, CTFA
Executive Vice President and Trust Relationship Officer
With over 30 years of experience, Dean manages the retirement plan services section of Greenleaf Trust and provides client service for individuals, retirement plans, corporations and nonprofit organizations. His community involvement includes serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. Dean is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and a graduate of both Western Michigan University and the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School.
Michael F. Odar, CFA
Executive Vice President and Research Director
Mike’s responsibilities include market analysis, portfolio management and investment research. With 15 years of experience in the investment field, he also manages Greenleaf Trust’s Research Team, which consists of Research Analysts and Wealth Management Advisors, and serves as chairman of the Investment Policy Committee. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Nicole is responsible for developing and executing wealth management plans for clients and for portfolio management in a team-based environment. She has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Nicole has earned her Certified Financial Planner™ certification and her Chartered Financial Consultant designation.
Paul R. Jude
Wealth Management Advisor
Paul’s responsibilities include developing and executing wealth management plans and managing investment portfolios. He is responsible for managing the Greenleaf Trust Internship Program and Greenleaf Scholars. Previously an intern with Greenleaf’s research team, he has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Michigan University.
James W. Gray, CFA
Research Analyst
As one of the chartered financial analysts who comprise our research team, Jim’s responsibilities include coverage of consumer staples, consumer discretionary, and healthcare. His extensive background in both the investment and global manufacturing industries provide expertise in business analysis and strategy development. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from the University of Southern Indiana and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Sanford C. Leestma II
Wealth Management Advisor
Sandy is responsible for developing and executing wealth management plans for clients as well as portfolio management. He has 10 years experience in the financial services industry and earned a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University. He is currently studying for his Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
David P. Mange, CFA
Vice President and Senior Research Analyst
Fixed income research, investment research and portfolio management are among David’s responsibilities. He has a political science/economic degree from Calvin College, a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Tennessee and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Lending.

Andrew’s responsibilities include developing and executing wealth management plans and managing investment portfolios. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College cum laude and his master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.

Junior Research Analyst
As one of the chartered financial analysts on our research team, Michael’s sector focus includes technology, industrial and materials. With nearly 10 years experience in private equity valuation, he adds talent and proficiency to our stock selection and analysis. Michael has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Salena’s primary responsibilities include providing the Research Team with operational support. She has 5 years experience in trust related fields and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business management.

Dan is responsible for providing service to individual clients and new business development. Dan has more than 20 years experience as a practicing attorney and business leader. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo College, Thomas M. Cooley Law School and the American Bankers Association National Trust School.
Karen A. Bouche, CTFA
Vice President and Trust Relationship Officer
Karen is responsible for providing service for individual clients and nonprofit organizations and has 11 years of experience in the financial industry. She is a graduate of Northern Michigan University’s Walker L. Cisler College of Business and the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School. Karen is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Christopher T. Haenicke, JD, CTFA
Vice President and Trust Relationship Officer
As an attorney, Chris specialized in estate planning and business law, with additional expertise in estate settlement. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School. Chris is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Brenda E. Hildon-Kaempf
Administrative Assistant
Brenda is responsible for providing comprehensive support and administrative assistance within the personal trust area and has over 13 years experience in the financial industry. Brenda earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business from Western Michigan University.
Jennifer L. Hodges
Administrative Assistant
Jennifer is responsible for providing comprehensive support and administrative assistance within the personal trust area. She has 5 years experience in the financial industry, was a 2006/2007 Greenleaf Trust Scholarship recipient and an intern with the Greenleaf Trust Intern Program. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in finance/real estate from Western Michigan University.
Garry P. Kempker, CTFA
Vice President and Trust Relationship Officer
Garry has more than 30 years in personal trust administration and management, with expertise in handling all aspects of clients’ financial matters, including estate settlement. He is a graduate of Hope College, the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School, and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Garry is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Maribeth S. Kidney
Assistant to the CEO
Maribeth assists the CEO and Trust Relationship Officers in the administration of personal trust accounts. Her more than 24 years of experience in bank and trust services includes the administration of personal and charitable trusts and foundations.

In addition to providing service for individual clients and nonprofit organizations, Carlene is responsible for the compliance functions of Greenleaf Trust. She has over 22 years of experience in the trust business, and graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University and from the American Bankers Association National Graduate Trust School. Carlene is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
Lauree Kosobucki
Trust Relationship Officer
Lauree is responsible for providing trust services to clients and new business development.  Working closely with clients, she helps implement plans designed to protect, manage and grow trust assets to serve their beneficiaries into the future.  Lauree has 12 years of experience in the financial services industry providing comprehensive wealth planning and private banking solutions.  A graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in finance, she also maintains a Michigan real estate license.
Sarah E. Montgomery
Lead Trainer
Sarah is responsible for the coordination, development, and implementation of employee training programs for Greenleaf Trust. She earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative religion from Western Michigan University, graduating cum laude.

Sarah is responsible for providing comprehensive support and administrative assistance within the personal trust area. With more than 12 years experience in financial services and sales, Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Michigan University.

Responsible for in-house participant recordkeeping system, Carol has more than 10 years of experience as a recordkeeping analyst. She has Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification, and is a graduate of Kalamazoo College.
Melissa Coffin
Recordkeeping Analyst
Responsible for assisting with Greenleaf Trust’s in-house participant recordkeeping system, Melissa has 18 years’ experience in trust operations and in the retirement plan arena. She attended both Delta College in Saginaw, Michigan and KVCC.

Lorey provides education and communication services to retirement plan clients. She conducts retirement plan group meetings, meets with plan participants, develops the educational and informational materials, oversees the fulfillment of the quarterly participant statements and manages the Participant Call Center. Lorey has over 18 years of experience in the retirement plan field and is a Central Michigan University graduate.

With more than 5 years of experience, Chris earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Michigan University. Chris is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and serves on numerous boards and committees in the community.

Jennifer’s primary responsibilities include the day-to-day recordkeeping of participant retirement accounts and assisting employers with payroll processing. She also provides support for the Participant Call Center. She is a graduate of Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University with a degree in marketing and business.

Michelle provides education and communication services to participants of various retirement plans. She also conducts retirement plan enrollment meetings, meets with plan participants, develops educational and informational materials, and supports the Participant Call Center. Prior to joining Greenleaf Trust, Michelle attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College, spent 5 years in the legal field and most recently spent 9 years in the human resources department of a large automotive group.

Kathleen serves as a relationship manager for 401(k) and other defined contribution retirement plans. She has more than 15 years experience, manages the staff dedicated to providing participant education and communication services, and also the plan recordkeeping and administration team. Kathleen is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator, and a graduate of Western Michigan University.

Kim is responsible for providing comprehensive support for accounting, human resources and marketing and sales. She assists each team in numerous activities and projects. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Northern Arizona University.

Senior Vice President, Investment and Estate Planning
Mark’s primary responsibility is overseeing the expansion of Greenleaf Trust into the southeastern Michigan market. He has a BA from The College of the Holy Cross, and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. Mark is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor with more than 25 years of experience in financial services. He was recently elected to the Legal/Financial Network Group of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.

Vice President and Director Of Marketing
Sarah is responsible for the coordination and production of all marketing and communications, as well as event planning for Greenleaf Trust. In addition to her 13 years experience in the field of marketing and communications, she has a bachelor’s degree in English from Albion College.

Responsible for new business development, Albert has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and CBA Graduate School of Retail Bank Management.

Vice President and Business Development Officer
Matt has more than 15 years of experience in the field of trust services, with expertise in management, sales, and relationship management. He is responsible for new business development in Holland, Petoskey and Traverse City. Matt is a graduate of Central Michigan University and the American Bankers Association National Trust School.

In addition to processing equity and fixed income trades, dividends, interest and capital changes, Rebecca is responsible for balancing Greenleaf Trust’s performance reporting system. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and has 25 years of experience in accounting and office management.

Trust Operations Coordinator
Tyler is responsible for TrustReporter.com, management reporting, special projects, fee processing, as well as assisting in performance reporting. He has more than 10 years of experience in trust operations. Tyler graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Operations Assistant/Receptionist Support
Amber is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the operations team and assists with a wide variety of activities and projects. Amber earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Davenport College.

Trust Operations Support
Patrick’s responsibilities include securities processing, trust operations support and year-end tax reporting. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business administration.
Beth A. Disbrow
Trust Operations Processor
Beth is responsible for a variety of activities in the operations area, securities processing, cash disbursements and reconcilement. With more than 20 years of operations experience in the financial services industry, Beth earned a degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
Elaine Frenthway
Administrative Assistant
Elaine is responsible for providing comprehensive support and administrative assistance within the operations area. Elaine attended both Baker College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

With 20 years of experience in trust operations, Mary is involved in all aspects of operations, including securities processing, cash disbursements and reconcilement.

Controller
Responsible for the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, Judy has 14 years experience in the accounting field. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
Julie A. Mentzer
Client Service Representative
In addition to providing administrative assistance to Trust Operations and participation in marketing events, Julie is also responsible for managing the reception area of Greenleaf Trust. She has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and client service and is a Western Michigan University graduate.

Trust Operations Support
Shannen’s primary responsibilities include account opening, account transfers and assisting Trust Relationship Officers in the administration of their accounts. She has more than 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, including operations. Shannen is a graduate of Davenport University with a degree in business management.
